    The great news is that not only has the story been officially withdrawn / censored (source: China Digital Times), but major news outlets around the world have picked up on it.

    According to Google News, it's received coverage by the BBC, New York Times, CNN, SCMP, Wall Street Journal, Straits Times, etc., etc.

    I don't know if they know they're full of shit and just thought that this sort of attack would work vis-a-vis their propaganda machine (and are also sexist, that's a given), or if they're so out-of-touch, baffled by Taiwan (and the West, and everything that isn't 5,000,000,000,000,000,0000,000,000,000 years of Chinese culture), sexist and straight-up stupid that they believe their own crap.
